Sim Room Fit

Will a golf simulator fit your room?

Most simulator builds go wrong on a measurement that was free to take: a ceiling six inches low, a room four feet short for radar, a projector that puts your shadow on the fairway. Sim Room Fit checks your room against the launch monitor manufacturers' own setup figures, per monitor type, before you spend anything.

Start with your question

Why the verdict is per monitor type

A launch monitor is not one kind of device. Radar sits 6 to 9 feet behind the ball and watches it fly, so it eats depth. A camera sits beside the ball and needs almost none. An overhead unit lives on your ceiling and asks for a 9 to 10 foot mount band instead. The same 14 foot room is a yes, a no and a maybe at once, depending on the class, and every brand's own planner quietly assumes you are buying its class. This site is neutral: the room size calculator returns all three verdicts side by side and names the dimension that limits you.

Every figure traces to a published source on the methodology page: Garmin, Rapsodo, FlightScope, SkyTrak, Uneekor and Carl's Place setup figures, checked on 23 Oct 2026. Where no manufacturer publishes a number, the site says so and shows its working.
